Wer-bauw was “Inspector of singers”. He was the son of Ka-hay (Mon.10) and the brother of Nefer (Mon.9). The occurrences are taken from the list provided in Moussa and Altenmüller (1971, 46). This tomb provides another occurrence of an interesting hieroglyph, here given the number A108* which shows a singer with a lock of long hair and outstretched arm and upturned palm, obviously exercising his profession. This sign is used as a substitute for the standard “seated man” A1. It is also to be found in the mastaba of his father Ka-Hay, another singer. (Mon.10).
