This monument is the earliest example of a polychrome inscription to be included from the collections of the MRAH in Brussels (E.4984). Despite its small size (38,4 cm x 28,5 cm) and limited content, this fragment was chosen for the clarity of the colours, the quality of execution and its obvious adherence to what had by this time become the canon. It is also the earliest monument in the database to use a white fill in signs such as the mouth D21.
